@LIbertyorDeath419 But unfortunately as Thomas Jefferson noticed, it takes a long train of abuses to get people to secede. I can't tell you how many Southern conservatives I have met who debate the "legality" of secession and often give up because the Yankees said it is "illegal".
REMEMBER whenever ANYONE says secession is illegal, that we were ALL BRITISH once, and SECEDED from the UK "illegally". And today we have far more than a tiny tea tax to justify secession. TSA pat downs anyone?

@LIbertyorDeath419 Now is the ONLY time: Larger southern populations today, nearly ALL privately owned guns are held by conservative hands in the USA, and majority of US army is made up of conservatives/southerners.
If we don't leave now, I fear an executive order Amnesty would instantly turn Texas blue. Let me say one thing: There are many Texans overseas who have fled the USA from economic oppression. We will come back if secession happens and Texas' already great economy will boom further!

@BleedingRosesRed Well, as a border state, it really depends on who you ask. As a Southerner, I don't really consider Maryland to be in the South, but it is historically linked to the South in many regards. Take care.

Actually I know many very Southern folks from Maryland who would strongly disagree with you. Maybe the newcomers who have settled in mass in the State of recent are not Southerners - that much I will grant you - but the traditional people and culture of Maryland still exists in parts of the State (esp the south and eastern shore).

I suppose you maen the word 'Southron' - this was not misspelled. It is a word used in the Middle Ages by our ancestors that was later used by the Confederates to describe the nationality of the people of the South during Lincoln's invasion of our land. As far as Palin and Obama - neither are the answer. The GOP and Dems are both terribly corrupt wings of the same evil regime which restricts our liberties, wages wars of imperialism and prints worthless paper money that destroys the economy.
