The Vietnamese and Cambodian communists of the Khmer Rouge were allied before 1975, and were once again allied after the 1998 talks. Why say nothing then about the hypocrisy of Vietnamese communists colonialists, using trials to solidify their rule in Cambodia, when their leaders committed the same atrocities? Why not say something about the Khmer Rouge leaders who, by switching sides to the Vietnamese, are now being protected and given high positions?

F, Ponchaud is a good man but as a Frenchman he is born with the anti-american bug. He only can see thirogh this glass.... China, Communist Vietnam, the European & American Antiwar lefties of that time.... and of course Sihanouk all of then were cheerleaders of the Khmer Rouge and helped Pol-pot to grab the power.... forget the Academis and read the old press ...it was clear who where the "heroes" of the time...

A word for the Khmers who don't know Father Ponchaud. This man helped thousands of KHmers in Cambodia, Thailand and France. Since Jayavarman VII, nobody had done better than him!!
He's a catholic priest. So he's a Bodhisattva too in the Buddhist compassion spirit.
In Cambodia, he's called "Father" or "Father Ponchaud" by everyone, Khmer or foreigner, Buddhist or atheist, racist or citizen of the world, political activist or not.. Nobody insults him!!!!
