  • Tommy Moore was the drummer before Best going on tour and left the band, even though they appealed for him to stay. He died in 1981 with 11 people attending his funeral. More people have written about than went the funeral. Norman Chapman was drummer for a few months, being called up for National Service, so another one who could have been a multi-millionaire. Chas Newby on bass, who replaced Sutcliffe. He was at uni and wanted to complete his studies, despite the Beatles asking him to stay.

  • Best is wealthy man. He is not cashing in on the Beatles and does not like to talk about them too much.

  • Totally incorrect!

Best does not need to play. He is a wealthy man. He does it for fun. He played in bands for 9 years after leaving the Beatles.

  • Best was a Beatle for 2 years - at the first sessions at Abbey Rd. He was fired as the manager, Epstein, misinterpreted George Martin. Martin wanted an accomplished sessions drummer, Andy White, who knew how to drum for recording sessions as was the norm in those days. Epstein interpreted that as Best was not good enough and that may put into doubt the recording contract. Best was hastily fired. Ringo came in and White was still there in the studio. The most unluckiest bastard in history.

  • john lennon actually got the idea for the song a hard days night by a comment that ringo had said after a more than 24 hour rehursal "well fellas i think its been a hard days night"

  • Pete Best is pathetic and was never a Beatle in my opinion. He was like Johnny Hutchinson- a fill in. Ringo even sat in for PB when he couldn't make it. PB wanted to leave the Beatles anyway and start his own band as if he was too good for them. Then, whamo, stardom. PB? Give me a fucking break. LOL. Anyone who likes PB doesn't no shit about drums- and you should stay that way. I think I will throw up now bc PB makes me sick to my stomach.

  • ...furthermore, I doubt this fool would still be playing music at his age if the Beatles hadn't of gone on to be so successful. Yes, that's right, thank you. = )

  • Oh, by the way... Is it just me, or does Jimmy Nichols look like that guy on Saturday Night Live?

  • "Shut up and PLAY!" Pathetic.

  • I'd rather stay broke then do what this stiff called, Pete Best is doing. How low can you go? I would have had more resepect for him, if he had stayed at his old job washing dishes. No wonder The Boys canned him!
