Alpha Dog Foster: Mercedes was Adopted!

Mercedes is an approximately 2 year old English bulldog. She is loving, affectionate, loyal, responsive, eager to please and if not properly lead, can become protective of her handlers.

She is healthy, energetic, loves to run and socialize with other dogs, cats and people.

She is crate trained but is also content to sleep on the floor near her handlers. She walks well on leash as long as she knows who is in charge. As she does have certain stubborn traits, someone familiar with proper leadership and confidence, and past experience with dogs, would be an asset.

She is very intelligent and well trained. She is brilliant on the treadmill, she knows sit, lay down, stay, come, will walk or run in a heel position on lead, will run or walk in a heel position with inline skates or with a bike, and responds very attentively while off lead. It is always recommended that off leash time be given only in safe and secure areas away from traffic.

Mercedes needs little regular grooming and cleaning. She does not mind having her nails clipped. She likes to be bathed and will get in and out of the tub on her own with your direction. She does need regular inspection of her ears and cleaning when necessary, but she does not mind this either.

Mercedes is a little cuddle bug who loves to snuggle after an exciting day of on leash walks and off leash play. She snorts when she gets excited, and be warned, if you are a light sleeper, she does snore when she's really tired!
