VIDEO: GREATEST SLAM DUNKS OF ALL TIME -- BOOMER BREAKS THE BACKBOARD!
NBA Pacers mascot, Boomer, steals the show -- by completing one of the greatest slam dunks of all time -- and breaking/smashing the living daylights out of the backboard during a highschool basket game between New Palestine and Triton Central.
New Palestine athletic director Al Cooper said "I didn't think he came down on it so hard, but it went bloof,".
"I'm sitting there thinking, 'There's no manual for this one.' But we had the (auxiliary) gym set up because we had a freshman game during the (junior varsity) game. It turned out to be a seamless transition."
The Pacers have been tremendous and have gone above and beyond by promising to refund Boomer's appearance fee and supply a new Backboard immediately!
Cooper described the occasion "It was a positive out of a chaotic situation,"
The New Palestine Dragons went on to a 70-45 victory over Triton Central.
"Boomer did a great job and the Pacers have been wonderful!"
