I posted a video in the description box above showing Brent doing pull ups from his Gibraltar rack tom mounts without any slippage. He weighs 200 lbs. We have a few videos that might help on how to properly use memory locks, this is the key. Hope it helps!

Inaccurate title...you showed how to replace a Pearl Rack with a Gibraltar unit...how about showing me how to actually customize my Pearl rack, that I already own, with Gibraltar components, so I'm not making redundant purchase to what I already have in my posession?

I'd love to see the difference in price between the two as well. I can't claim that I'm unbiased as I have a Pearl rack (and no complaints with it) but assuming I'm not the only one working on a limited budget, I think price would be a big factor for the average drummer.

shame these clamps oval all tom holders and cymbal booms when in regular use(sad but true fact of real world use).ive used your stuff for years (love it)but can never put my gear back into tom holders or stand basses ever again...pearl have the tom holder type grips with nylon on some clamps.when are you coming out with a soft grip holders?.G used to sell wooden rods to push inside tubes to stop them being crushed.so its a known problem.i have to use my very old pre squashed holders with racks
