patriotism is nationalism is a religion.
Say something nasty about Christ in public and you might get some complaints.
Say something nasty about the flag in public and your likely to get your head stomped in..
its a nasty religion, a cult of death..

WOW... you're an amazing mother with an amazing son! You are obviously doing something right :)
But, I think you should tell them that, one day as the smart man he will grow up to be, he can help change this world and that there will come a time when he can recite the pledge as a proud American.
(I hope that time is sooner rather than later :) )

do thank you for bringing up this point, as it gives me another reason to tell people when they ask why I do not say it. And I won't say it, ever again, and I might even refuse to stand up if it gets worse, until gay marriage is legalized in ALL states and they are treated right, along with all the other stuff going on that I believe is not "justice for all". So glad you made this video, thank you, and hope you and your family are doing good :)

I totally agree, even though I've never thought of it that deeply before. I haven't said the pledge in years (I am in 9th grade now) and now, recently, my newer teacher is forcing everyone to stand up during it because, apparently, it is "school requirements", despite the fact there is absolutely NOTHING that says that in the handbook. So, I stand, due to the fact I do not want to start an arguement, but I put my hand over my mouth and do not look at the flag while everyone else says it.I really

I've always wondered when doing the Pledge, who the heck is Richard Sands?

Umm gays are not the only group without their rights. What about the mexican americans living in this country? What about the muslims? The pledge is a lie. My friend is doing the same thing that your kids are doing except her high school is getting mad about it. And it may end up being big!

DESU~ DESU~ DESU~ DESU~ DESU~ DESU~

they stopped asking us to do the pledge in about the sixth grade.

Being forced to stand up, recite some hokey bullshit, and worship a fucking flag of a nation/state that does nothing but limit its peoples freedoms is a load of shit. As an anarchist, I NEVER say the "pledge", period. Archists can take their pledge, flag, and laws and shove them up their ass.

>>this is exactly why im not fighting in iraq right now.. not going to protect a bunch of corrupt ass immoral freedom hating backstabbing sons of liberal bitches.
I could say the same thing about you being corrupt, but it does not doing anything to advance my argument or your argument. The terms "liberal" and "conservative" are misnomers. Like I said, it is a false dichotomy.

LOL! I did not know being able to kick someone's ass can prove your point in an argument. I guess I have multiple reasons for being correct and you being wrong.

Not at all. I would love to see you DIE for your country. Go for it, buddy =D
(cont.) Stallionette, if gay marriage is legalized nationwide would you resume saying the pledge? If you do, you must also realize that other justices haven't been met yet. As stated previously, no country is or will ever be perfect. Do you want your justice---or justice for all?

DO you know any other group in the US that is STILL trying to gain civil rights?
