do thank you for bringing up this point, as it gives me another reason to tell people when they ask why I do not say it. And I won't say it, ever again, and I might even refuse to stand up if it gets worse, until gay marriage is legalized in ALL states and they are treated right, along with all the other stuff going on that I believe is not "justice for all". I totally agree, even though I've never thought of it that deeply before. I haven't said the pledge in years (I am in 9th grade now) and now, recently, my newer teacher is forcing everyone to stand up during it because, apparently, it is "school requirements", despite the fact there is absolutely NOTHING that says that in the handbook. So, I stand, due to the fact I do not want to start an arguement, but I put my hand over my mouth and do not look at the flag while everyone else says it.I really

Umm gays are not the only group without their rights. What about the mexican americans living in this country? What about the muslims? The pledge is a lie. My friend is doing the same thing that your kids are doing except her high school is getting mad about it. And it may end up being big!
