Hosted by Harmony Project, Sponsored by Equality Ohio, Outlook Media, Stonewall Columbus, The Creative Good, Ozone Studios, Ares Sportswear and Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream!
At 6pm on Tuesday, June 14th, people from all walks of life, all backgrounds, all faiths, all ages will join together in a first of its kind "Flash Choir" performance in Columbus Commons to celebrate diversity by performing Lady Gaga's smash hit "Born This Way."
At 6pm promptly, the mass choir (expecting more than 1000 participants) will hear the announcement that rehearsal is to begin. We will quickly form into an outdoor mass choir, take 60 second of instruction, and perform the Country Road version of "Born This Way." Following the performance, the dance version will play and everyone is encouraged to dance freestyle and meet others who share the same passion for diversity and inclusion. While similar to a "flash mob," this will be different as it is about turning 1000+ voices into one powerful voice echoing throughout downtown and beyond. YOU are invited to participate in the most fun 30 minutes you will have all week! You don't have to know all the words to participate, but at least know the chorus and be prepared to sing loud and proud!
Be a part of history while singing your hearts out and dancing your butts off. It doesn't matter if you are a singer. It's about lifting your voice, making a statement, and encouraging others to celebrate individuality and common ground.
O WOULD OF DIED I HAVE BEEN TO COLUMBUS SO MUCH I COULD OF SAW THAT!!
