This video was taken approx. 20 mins before my other engine noise 1 video. It's the lead up to the time I pulled over and got the car towed. There was no 'trauma' or aggressive driving before this started to happen. I was just coming up to a set of lights, put the clutch in and the revs dropped to below normal idle. Didn't have to stop completely at the lights and engaging and accelerating in second the faint sounds of knocking started. 20 mins later it was major piston slapping and a tow truck.

I have an 2009 Subaru wrx and my motor just did this sat night, my dealer says it's a wrist pin that has let go! it has 44000 kms on it not sure why it let go but let's hope the new motor that's being put it in now lasts a bit longer.
