Leading DPP with good elections results will make Tsai Ing-wen a very strong and attractive leader. She can attract more votes than Su and Hsieh. In my opinion, Tsai is DPP's long-term leader. Even your hero, Dr. Shen, agreed that no one within DPP can seriously challenge her based on her job performance. Su likes Tsai. They used to work together. I am not sure about Hsieh. I predict Tsai will remain as the DPP Chair for at least one more term, and maybe run for Taipei mayor.

Ma misjudged why people voted for him. Most Taiwanese are not so China-friendly like Ma, and his policy deviated too much from the expectations of the mainstream Taiwanese. If Ma thinks China is so friendly to Taiwan, he ought to tell it to treat Taiwan as a country, not a local gov't. Avoiding using ROC when dealing with China acutally helps the DPP. Ma's other problems are his poor performance, and his "style" seems to be out-of-touch with ordinary Taiwanese.

Isn't what Ma did also the mandate of the people? Ms. Tsai is a rational person. But in my opinion, she is too weak to be a leader. She can't lead the DPP to a new direction. She has to settle Mr. Hsieh and Mr. Su first before she can run for the president. I don't think Taiwanese people are ready for a female president but I wish her luck anyway. 皮皮挫? We all " safely hiding in the US", aren't we?

The quote " Democracy is 自作自受" was from a famous talk show host. The literal meaning is people have to take consequences for the things they did. And democracy is no exception.  The reason I watch Dulan9's videos is to understand the political ideology of the dark green people. Is there anything wrong with different opinions?

lol...you will respect the decision of the Taiwanese people but then you think democracy is 自作自受. It ain't sound right. You crossed up your logic.

Democracy is not 自作自受. You just CANNOT handle Taiwan's dynamic democracy. It is YOU, and only YOU for a long time 自作自受 by constantly come back to watch Dulan9's videos in which you don't like and even make comments about them. Normally, people don't do that unless they have an intended purpose.

Ma's own policy is to kiss China's ass and beg it for business. He is the one to blame for that. The DPP has a new leader in Tsai Ing-wen, and she is gonna to kick some ass. Independent voters and some KMT supporters will vote for her. Look for her to be Taiwan's first female president if not in 2012, then 2016 because it all depends on next year's elections results. Ma and his KMT are getting 皮皮挫 about her for sure. You?
