So I was messing around with Lucario a couple days ago and found that you can shorten Lucario's up-B.

As you can see, this cuts the length by about a half. In order to do this, you basically make a half circle with the joystick as soon as you start moving forward. You MUST be grounded for this to work.

I've been pretty reluctant to upload this, seeing how, aside from mindgames, this is pretty useless. I know that this is not some ground-breaking technique. But I decided that there's no harm in sharing with you guys. If you can think of any applications, by all means, say it.

  • I wasn't trying to hide it...

    ?

You know that, besides damage intake, there is no difference between training mode and a real match, right?

  • dude that isnt a cancel its natural lucrio psyhics. you can change and turn lucarios movement in the air to check it out :\

  • For sure, I know it's not a cancel. And I think every one who has played the game knows you can turn in the air.

  • He called you a dumbass because training mode doesn't affect your movement ability at all. Everything is exactly the same as a normal match except for the lack on another player.

  • this CAN be useful, like if you're using extremespeed but then realize that somebody is about to do something at the end (like they're charging up a homerun bat) you can just stop

  • Hold up a sec... if u dash toward your opponent then jump backwards to then use extremestop to stop right behind them, if u can pull off a b-air somehow then fire a fully charged aura sphere then this might be pretty useful!! Can some1 get a vid of this plz? tht would be epic

  • @JeepySol don't forget stock!

  • @pkmnbrawler nah the recover time after the finish of the move to when you can attack agian is too long, unless someone has the reaction time of a lvl 1 comp or they make a bad mistake that wont really work unfortunately :/ still a cool trick though

  • @Supermaster4567 or for about 3/4 that knockback, just chuck the thing.

  • I mostly use that but for a reverse attack

  • @JeepySol

There is. Stale move negation doesn't occur in training mode from what I've heard. I've been able to do some crazy combos with my pikachu that NEVER work in any other modes.

  • Could you use it to get behind the opponent and go for a grab?

  • Lol I was just going to say "Use it for recovery mindgames!" but then I read in the description that you can't use it in midair. <_<

  • i already knew this and the cpu copyed it lol now it abuses it

  • yea and his side b
