Heh...here's me playing the keyboard solo from 'In The Cage' by Genesis.

There are a couple of minor flubs, but I didn't have time to redo it - I'm meant to be studying today!

If you like what you hear, you should check out the Genesis album 'The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway'.

  • I can do it too. Easier than it looks.

  • @ChocolateHoneycomb I'm looking forward to your video. :)

  • Three years laye but...great performance Kyle, perfect playing of the two quadruplets in a row at around 10 sec. of the synth solo, perfect duplication of Tony's way in both playing accent and phrasing especially considering the special semi-tone use which Tony always had on all his most important solos and/or chord sequences. Just a question. Did you play on TSL album or video version of ITC? Tony's synth solo on album runs 49.9, while video (the fastest ever) 49.3, while yours is 48.5 so...

  • @AloBerni I honestly can't remember, sorry. Thanks for the compliments.

  • I wish I had a camera to film it though. Even then however, my keyboard is just a normal keyboard (Yamaha PSR-E323), not a synthesizer, so I don't even have this sound. I am so jealous of all the people who can play it with an actual synth, because the closest I can get to it is combining a voice called "Analogue" with a voice called "SynthLead", and because there's no aftertouch, it doesn't sound as good :(

  • @kylehudson00 No sorry, I haven't got a camera for it. I would love to film it, but I can play it, trust me. I used this video, along with painist007's video for assistance. You just alternate between two different keys in the first half while your thumb does the rest, and then the second half is easy because it's not fast.

I swear when I first saw you play I thought "Shit, I'll never do this..." A few months later, I can play this pretty well (not nearly as well as you though)

  • @AloBerni , you completely fucked up my brains with your mumbo-jumbo, and I am a technical guy.....

  • perfect!

  • Yay, I can play the first twenty seconds now.

  • I don't even understand how this is possible.

  • @AloBerni This is Three Sides Live version
