ANCHOR:
Two passenger trains collided in China's Shandong Province today. At least 66 people have been killed with hundreds injured. Here's more.

STORY:
400 people have been taken to hospital, with 70 in a critical condition. One train was traveling from Beijing to the seaside resort of Qingdao when the accident happened in Zibo. The second train was from the resort of Yantai.

Both were operating at full speed at the time of the accident. It's the worst in China since 1997.

The cause is still under investigation. There are no reports of foreigners being killed but four French nationals were treated for injuries.
