  • I love how the viola has an important part in this quintet, especially in the second movement.

  • doing this in my quintet for solo and ensemble! beautiful piece and beautifully played.

  • This is just brilliant. Thanks for posting.

  • although nothing like chopin when it comes to composing piano solos. Schumann is definitely a pure genius in the harmony of the strings.

  • Beautiful listening this masterpiece. And after all, the dressing can be the finishing touch of a fine dish.

  • One of the best performances of this great work. I have the cd. I'd like to have this on dvd. Schumann bases it on Bach's E flat fugue from The Well Tempered Clavier.

  • This piece isn`t like a piano quintet; it`s like a piano concerto, I think. The piano solo is dominant in this composition.

I`m practicing this quintet now (piano) --------- AAARRRGGGHHH!!! The devopment is REALLY hard!!!

  • @cstamitz Not properly dressed? for what? To make music or to put on a show?
