@huneyjew Mine do from the minute they're born. Good breeders assist in the whelping and stay right at the whelping box for a minimum of 2 weeks to be sure Mom doesn't lie on a puppy. We have pig rails to avoid it but it can still happen. :(
@huneyjew Of course. just keep the pups close to the mother. the mother's will sometimes be hostile if you pick up a pup and walk away. If you raise the dog right then it shouldn't matter because it would trust you.

@huneyjew yea....my dog let me hold her puppys but they were wet so i tryed to dry them the mother did not really like that
