  • Not sure what failed.. Explain

  • Well with Windows Home server it said to not use hardware raid. I'm not sure why but it was recomended that it just use the drive extender technology. So far it's been awesome. I have zero down time and it duplicates all that data for me across a few drives. I do have it all on a UPS. I think it's a APC 1500 and I have another APC 2200. Both supply enough power for like 30 min or something.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • I tend to prefer linux for servers personally, but nice video :)

  • are those removable sata drive bays? hot swoppable? and whats UPS?

    nice vid and setup

  • i love your vids

    you're a true hardcore :)

  • Definetley a nice setup for a home system. Some people fail to recognize how important data protection is and I give you props for using the software based raid. One thing you might want to address is just that. Although software based sounds good in theory, I've never had a good experience with it. if you want to make sure you don't lose any of your data I would suggest hardware based-raid and throwing a UPS in the mix, if you don't have one already. Nice though... like the monitor
