they actually start slowing down the instant the wind resistance is greater than the force of the gun powder propellant. About 3 inches from the end of the barrel Mr. Wizard

@Robot0Ninja i know they weren't made for speedball, but i don't take woodsball seriously, so i can't take things made specifically for woodsball seriously, unless they find a use on the air fields, which many things have, but i can't see this making it.
-
@DrPracticleHat they werent made for speedball, so that doesnt even make sense. and not really, i can carry 4 mags, a hopper full of first strike and a tank on my back and im good for the day, i dont even need another gun. its all about personal preference.
-
@Robot0Ninja until i see them on the tourney fields i won't be able to really take them seriously, never been a big fan of woodsball. It also sounds like you need to carry a lot to make the t9 a viable option, which i'm also not a fan of.
-
@DrPracticleHat you make them cheaper, until then i will use them and out range everyone on the field, and with 10 times better accuracy. sure, i get less shots, but thats why i carry a tm7 too.

@Robot0Ninja and yes no site would normally let you use a 900fps gas gun, but as a marshal, you can do what you want. also that's 900 with a 0.2, load .5's and the speed drops to a more reasonable 450-500, the .5's also making it substantially more resistant to wind and tend to keep their back spin for longer.

@Robot0Ninja just noticed i miss read pbtech's message discussing range as fps instead of just feet, so sure, i'll believe tfs can maintain their speed better and keep a flatter trajectory as a result, however i still have a big issue them charging as much as they do for those balls, so i will continue to protest their existence.
-
@DrPracticleHat no course would ever let you shoot 900 fps, and even if you can, the bb is too small and too light to even make it there, let alone be accurate if it does. and if you mean first strike by tfs, then no, they are not double the fps limit. they still shoot under 300 fps like every other paintball gun. regular paint cant make it to 530 feet. and once again, no tournament marker is accurate passed 150 feet at 300 fps, unlike first strikes which get more accurate @ 150+
-
@Robot0Ninja tfs balls are almost double the normal fps limit, airsoft gas guns can shoot into the low 900s when modded even lightly, 'getting hits' @500ft is not an issue.
as for that 12" grouping, shoot the tfs balls at 300 or regular paint at 530 and we'll have a fair test, but the bottom line comes down to consistency in the ball, the barrel, and the gas, tfs balls should be immaculate for the price they ask, but even the T9 is not going to have the gas consistency of a 1200$ marker

@paintballtechpb i used the first strike rounds with an alpha black and they did shot any farther than a paintball. why is this?

@bengrvr2
When we tested the max range of paintballs @ 300fps, normal guns shot around 300 feet, apex/flatline shot about 330 feet, and Tiberius First Strike Rounds went over 530 feet
We have confirmed body hits at 500 feet with First Strike Rounds
