  • oh wow, talk about a chair seat.

  • @casperlovesme ah okay so she is a hunter. Than why does the title say 'olympic equestrian jumping'? I'm from belgium, we don't have hunters here, only showjumping. Isn't hunters all about having a nice seat, riding on the right lead and making good turns, etc?

  • Oh this is what Pie looks like. Cool! 8D

  • this is pie lafferty and she is located it colardo and dose the most amazing clinics in hunter jumper. my equitation progresses every time

  • @xXMySweetMiseryXx do you know the name of this person? and does she ride hunters of showjumping? She's sitting forward (I think it's called 2-point in english) before and after the jump, so I think she's a hunter. But than I don't understand why the vid's called olympic jumping, cause the olympic's don't have hunters

  • @xXMySweetMiseryXx very true, I've watched meredith M.B., when she's walking the horse her legs are ALLOT pretier to look at than this womans legs. Her legs aren't perfect when she's riding a course, but that's normal concidering the height of the jumps. I understand that the legs are pushed forward when sitting short but the woman in this vid isn't even trying to sit correct. And it's not only her position that's bad, but let's not start about that :-)

  • @saminiky True, she doesn't really have a reason for that horrible position, but when you get higher, you position falters a bit. You wouldn't criticize Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, watch?v=C7DESFhUZJc , her feet stick out, aren't straight the whole time, and her knee isn't in line. She's jumping HIGH, so stirrups are shorter and her knee isn't able to go down into line. It's more applicable to flat work and low jumps, as it's hard to keep perfect position on a spirited horse over large jumps.

  • guys she is an amazing rider i have also taken a clinic with her. she is a profesional and knows what she is talking about. so dont make rude comments

  • @xXMySweetMiseryXx even when your stirrups are shorter, your position should still be correct (hip, knee, ankle and shoulder should be on one line). I know it's the natural reaction of your leg to go forward when you put your stirrups shorter, but that's no excuse for not sitting correctly.

  • @saminiky Shorted stirrups for jumping pushes your leg forward. Even the smallest child knows that. She's riding like that because the short stirrup forces your leg up, and to jump on the higher ones to prevent impaling your crotch you need higher stirrups. It also helps for higher press releases so you don't yank on your horse's mouth
