This tutorial is a way to install Wubi on windows without having to do anything techy. I'd suggest lowering your volume since I forgot to take out the mic and speakers. The song is Down by Jay Sean. This is a Jason Boy tutorial uploaded by ECW Fan TV. Enjoy

The sites for wubi is : www.wubi-installer.org
The file is 990 Kb which is followed by a 700 mb iso. I'd suggest faster internet. You can order a free cd by visiting ubuntu's official site. It takes 9 weeks or so.

  • everytime i use the wubi thing it starts, gets to just under halfway done and then the download time says something like 500 hours and keeps going up, tried downloading an iso from torrent and the wubi just carries on downloading a new one as usual :(

  • @dwoodsky

yh it's cause a lot of people are downloading so their servers are almost over crowded, did you put the iso in the same folder as wubi?

  • I did all this.... It worked great. One problem!!!!!!! Once i had Ubuntu up and running I was not able to connect wirelessly. I was able to connect with my ethernet cable. but I would prefer to connect wirelessly. Also I dont seem to have the network Manager Icon either. Looked for it in the panal but??? what do i do?? and the funny rhing is If i restart and go into windows 7 i can connect no problem!!

    I have a Toshiba satellite L450D-11G

  • @coley72676 sorry for the really late reply, i wouldn't waste my time with the wireless because it's not in graphical format meaning you must code it in for your wireless card. I couldn't connect and so i tried the codes and ended up messing up the Ubuntu Install and so i had to reset it up. Honestly just use Windows 7 when browsing the web or in Ubuntu use the ethernet cable. Again sorry for how long this took to reply to!

  • how do you uninstall??

  • um go to start , control panel, add remove programs, and it should say Wubi Uninstall that and that's it.
