Easter Rising of 1916? While the War for Independence did lead to the Free State agreement creating Northern Ireland as a British state apart from the future southern republic, it was the 16th - 17th century plantation of Ireland (mostly Munster and Ulster) by the English and lowland Scots that caused the Troubles in the 20th century. Unionist Anglicans (Church of England) trace their lineage to the British population that supplanted the Irish. IRA wants them out...

  • @rufus566 Your info about n ireland is way wrong buddy the troubles had nothing to do with the british plantation owners that was the easter rising 2 totally seperate things

  • great tune all the same

  • @nitro70e

It is ironic that people never learn about history and it repeats over and over again. The British move into North America and drive out the natives (French and Spanish helped as well) meanwhile the British are doing the same thing in Ireland. The confiscation of land for the plantations in N. Ireland and then not giving it back caused the Troubles. I live in America and my family (and most of my towns ancestors) moved here when their land was confiscated in N. Ireland.

  • @nitro70e - people hundreds of years ago stole the country.
