  • Ok now i'm confused, Allan, didnt sing on this recording? This is Michael Rickfors singing right?... Their l973 performance, because it was...live..had more of a ROCK sound to me.......(their live performances are always better)...but LOVE this recording!..also i've read Terry wrote the song, and just today read Tony and a guy named lynch wrote it.

  • Thank you for your comment. I found the information in the official website of The Hollies. Have a nice week.

  • @luvsmuzik1 No, it's Allan Clarke. His voice is unmistakable. This was on the same album as "Long Cool Woman...".

  • Holly Cow...........! I was only 16 when I first heard this song; It's so beautiful to go back all these years and all these memories come back.. Great Song

  • Man! I'm 14 again...thanks for posting!

  • 1 person is lost on a long dark road.

  • I was in an online/LDR with my soulmate for almost 8 months. I live in Florida, he in England. He broke it off shortly after the U.S. Embassy denied him visiting rights :-( . this song is perfect.

  • you have to wonder about the inspiration of the lyric. . . Tony has said it was innocent enough, but sounds like a lament of love, or friendship, or partnership lost. . . it was a time of great change for them. . . another great hicks/lynch collaboration at any rate! thnx for another beautiful vid - kc

  • Dont you idiots understand!! Your talkin about non-existant band members. Trace the music evolution dolts. See who was in the Hollies, who was in other bands before and after. Nash.

  • One of the best songs the Hollies did.
