@delideliver Yes, usually when the "Cute child" joins the cast, the show is usually cancelled within a year or two.I Loved The Facts Of Life, when Mackenzie Astin and Sherrie Krenn, the Australian exchange student came on, they were cancelled.

@delideliver Yes I saw on a special about the people that played the Ropers. It was sad. I also read about the trouble Good Times had. John Amos (James) said they didn't want him to stay so they made the JJ character more stupid and more popular. He left, and they killed off James, then Esther Rolle (Florida) got angry at the JJ character and she left, only to come back a year later, she was mad about the casting of little Janet Jackson.
