This is a song that I wrote on January 29 2010. Exactly 17 days after the tragedy that happened on January 12 2010 in my country. I wrote this song while being here in Burundi in the very disturbing and heart breaking moment trying to get news from my family back in Haiti.
After spending two weeks without any news, I was completely devastated, stunned, dazed and couldn't figure out what was the right thing to do in that specific moment. OMG it was so cruel and hard. Even after talking to my family members I couldn't believe that they were really alive after what I saw on the internet. It was such a relief to finally hug them , talk and spend time with them in February and March.
