I agree my father was an o/o for years and a bunch of his friends were too and they just have nothin good at all to say about tuck driving and owning yer own truck but i think thats because they have seen how down hill eveything has gone my father made just as much in the late 70's and throughout the 80's as he did in the 2000's but the prices of everything went through the roof

1 out of 100 that got some success.. I had 5 trucks, never made it. I now make better money as a company driver @ .40 cpm. And a dedicated 3100 miles a week.. leasing a truck from one of the big companies is a sure way to get fucked now days. Think about it they control your miles and your income.. just when you have only a few more payments left to pay on your truck, the freight slows down. No miles-no money-no truck payment- no truck!!
