【AREIA REMIX 013】f(x) (에프엑스) - Chu~♡ (츄~♡)

I was not particularly interested in f(x) till I had the chance to see them in real, live in one of their first musicbank appearances. These little girls were actually scared and trembling in front of the live cameras to the extent that the producer had to go up and tell them to relax and that everything is going to be okay.

That got me but still Lachata was not my type.
Then they come with Chu that changes quite everything. I can't say it's the best song ever but I believe it outputs the girls' potential in a much more rich way.

I had in mind to remix this song at some point when yesterday I actually gave it a go resulting in me staying up till 4am from the excitement. I think this remix came out very powerful and it's one of my favourites.

Except from the vocoded parts (that I have to admit at some points are hidden behind the beat) the prodigy like breakbeat around 2:00 literally made me get up from my chair and start dancing. Then I had the idea to give it a more acid tone by adding a 303-style lead at the second part of the breakbeat break - that's my favourite part.

The happy bass and beat combination came out from the fact that these girls are too cute to savage them with some harder trance sounds. (*Oh well Kara's Wanna was the exception*).

I've spent on this remix quite more energy than usual so hope you like it as much as I do.

My favorite remix from you so far. This is great! How long did it take for you to make this?

@whoopsidasi thanx! I made this months ago so I don't quite remember. Generally as the remix count (this is 013) increases I've been spending more and more time. Latest remixes take about 3-4 days of 5-6 hours of work; so that would be about 20 hours in total. Some times it takes more than that too. I could do a remix in 3-4 hours but most of this time I usually listen to patterns again and again and hype up the remix, tweaking a few parameters here and there till it sounds perfect.

@HiRymes Hi! The original is 125bpm while this is quite faster at 134bpm. I will be putting the dub MP3s for all my remixes as well in the next few days :)
