Auckland Cityscape by Matt

Motion graphic exercise I set for myself. Tried using colours I hadn't really mixed together before with various degrees of success. Basically a personal promotion of the city I now live in; Auckland, New Zealand.
The music is Bossa Pre Due by Nicola Conte. I totally stole it and put it on this, don't sue me Nicola, I love ur stuff!

How long does it take to learn this? I'm waiting for mine in the post now.

@GDZMusic Ummm, I don't really know how to answer that one - haha. This took me about 3 solid days of work to put together. As for learning it, for this particular animation you just need to know a bit of photoshop and a bit of After Effects to put this together. However I spent about 27 months doing a variety of graphic design, multimedia and animation courses when I was a student.

@tropicalcatdetective Thanks for replying so soon. That's rare on here. I was thinking of doing a title sequence like this for a project my friend and I are working on down in Blenheim. Looks like I got a few things to learn first though. Wish me luck.

Thanks, I've always intended to come back and extend it a bit as it's pretty quick. But I never sem to find the time to and plus shorter and sweeter may in fact be better - haha.
