GUARDIAN ANGELS ARREST 7/29/08 CHICAGO SUBWAY STATION. MAN WAS ATTACKED ON TRAIN BY 3 TEENS. I RAN INTO VICTIM AND HE TOLD ME HE WANTED TO PRESS CHARGES. I CALLED POLICE GAVE THEM OUR LOCATION. WE GOT ON THE TRAIN TO GO BACK TO THE SCENE OF THE ATTACK. ON OUR WAY BACK THE 3 TEENS GOT ON THE TRAIN. I MANAGED TO GET THE OLDEST ONE OFF THE TRAIN, BY TRICKING HIM. THEN I HAD HIM AND THE VICTIM AT THE STATION. GAVE THE POLICE MY NEW LOCATION. GOT INTO AN ARGUMENT WITH THE C.T.A. EMPLOYEE AND THE SUSPECT. I WAS ABLE TO BUY TIME AND NOT PHYSICALLY DETAIN THE SUSPECT. SOME OF THE LANGUAGE IN THE VIDEO MIGHT BE OFFENSIVE. THE POLICE ARRIVED. PLACED SUSPECT UNDER ARREST. THE VICTIM FILED A POLICE REPORT. THE I FOUND OUT THAT THE SUSPECT WAS WANTED FOR ROBBING PEOPLE ALL DAY ON THE TRAINS WITH HIS PARTNERS. AT LEAST WE GOT THE OLDEST ONE. DARE TO CARE

Please inform me how Guardian Angels hopping over a CTA turnstile isn't a crime? You would've busted someone for doing it, so why is it okay for you to do it? I definately think you guys have helpedto put some bad people away, but being a Guardian Angel does not provide you with the right to break laws.. even if its in an effort to prevent someone else from getting away.

I'm not gonna let the suspect just board a train, because I had to get my change out and buy a card and then put it in the machine. I could've just arrested him when we got off the train and nobody would have gotten physical. I make the safe call all the time. I have chased people on the tracks with guns and that's not allowed. The police did not arrest me for being on the tracks.

If the ticket agent felt I was wrong she would have told the police and had me arrested. Let's say someone snatch's a purse or chain and jumps the turnstile while we are chasing him. Do we jump and continue the chase or buy a card and take about 1 minute to go through the turnstile?????????? Look at the gun video we have. We are on the tracks with the police. We help get this guy and get a loaded gun off the street. It's still against the law to be on the tracks. We made a choice.
