David Burton - Treehouse

An original composition of mine I recorded recently. It reminded me of the branches of a tree creaking in the wind (don't ask me why!) so I called it Treehouse. Hope you enjoy!

I recorded this with a pair of Rode NT3 microphones using my 1978 Ibanez v300bs.

I'm getting more interested in Ibanez each time I hear those gats, but I live in New Zealand and I suspect you are in America, or close to a source of "genuine" Ibanez guitars as opposed to their Asian made cousins. I own one larrivee, one Taylor and one APX nylon jazz type Yamaha. More than enough, I know. But Treehouse is a good name and the strings very, nice, bright sounding: is the brand and guage of strings a secret?

Hi there thanks for comment, my guitar is an 1978 model made in Japan that I bought in a music shop about 10 years ago. I use Martin 80/20 12 gauge but sssh don't tell anyone!
