Historically accurate detail makes for compelling viewing. Giamatti and Linney are briliant. Giamatti seems so much like this decade's Tom Hulce: he's an actor of great passion and intensity that can in a moment melt into a soft tenderness and then harden into true resolve and grit--all within seconds. Few actors can match this flexibility and feeling.

Very excited to see this! We were at Colonial Williamsburg while they were filming some portions -- very fun to see -- you couldn't believe how tattered the extras were!

Should be the best HBO product since "Band of Brothers"--maybe even more important, too.
