This is my first build. Everything was also wired by myself. The whole system is:

2x 12" Alpine Type R subs in a custom enclosure powered by a Alpine M1005 1000w rms at 2ohm.
Alpine Head Unit
Alpine 6.5" Type-R Splits in the front
Alpine 6.5" Type-R Coaxils in the rear
Audiobahn 4x75 RMS for fronts and rears
Theres also a Blue Neon light underneath the front of the subs.

thanks to bryce M. for videoing it

  • I need advice. Im new to all this. I just bought these subs and was wondering if i could stick to my pioneer 760 watt peak power amp, 380 Watts x 1, at 4 ohms BRIDGE or go with a KENWOOD KAC-7205 1000 WATTS 2-CHANNEL AMPLIFIER? I was going to bridge them to the 2 channel amp or would this over drive the amp?

  • @buttermilkyway when you say "these subs", you mean the Alpine Type R's? Neither one of the amps you mentioned would power ONE of these subs. You need to buy an amp that is 1000RMS. RMS is the key thing here, as peak power doesn't mean anything any more.

Also, make sure your wiring is correct. If you bought two Type R's, make sure you know what impedance they are. Then make a decision on what amp to get. Hope this helped.

  • sweet total cost for system any idea?

  • @basskid4ever Hey man. At the time i think everything all up cost about 2500-3000. Including build materials. But I had pretty good discounts because I got work discounts.

  • @Gskate1011 Good discounts? I could get 2 15's and a Kicker Amp, box, wiring, and all, for under a grand.

  • Thank God for bass!!!!

  • @Gskate1011 Good discount? I have a Fi BTL 18 on a Kicker 2500.1 amp. and full kciker QS door components on a kicker 650.4 and I paid under 1g for everything...Best Buy discounts FTW.

  • nice build the only things i would have changed is 1 i would like to see the side filler peaces caped and 2 a fake floor so you could flush mount the amps with a vent fan on it but all in all its a nice clean build good job man

  • piece of shit subs lol

  • You got room for 2 more haha. They look like they slap hard. Very nice build though looks clean and sounds great. I'm working on a tri 12 vented box for two Kenwood KFC-3012's and a Power Acoustik P3-12W I have to get another battery though.
