A lot of people have asked me why I named this "Bomb the Moon" even though it has nothing to do with the NASA moon bombing.

To those people who may may have been misled by the overuse of the word "bomb" -- at The Monitor and elsewhere -- to describe NASA's LCROSS mission:

Nothing exploded, although two spacecrafts -- one about the size of a bus, the other a subcompact car -- did crash on the surface of the moon.

The title is not to be taken literally rather metaphorically. I being the "bomb" and China being the "Moon." Much of the Chinese refer to the moon as being a sacred thing. They hold it in high regard and celebrate holidays based on it ie; The Chinese Moon Festival or Moon Cake Festival.

I had given a class about the NASA moon bombing at 3 Gorges University. However, no one seemed interested or seemed to care. I thought it was odd.

Anyway, one day I had been walking around in another area of the school and noticed a student had scratched the words I'd written on the chalk board onto the concrete in the school. I found it interesting that a small thing I had said had given someone the motive to carve it on school property.

I thought it'd be the perfect name for the video because my being there created a shift in the thoughts of the Chinese. Much like a bomb going off on the moon would disturb it's peace.

Not every film or book title is to be taken literally.
