If you set up an alarm on the iphone, will it sound through the speakers of the dock station? So could you use the iphone to set the music you want and the time?

Just got this today at best buy for black friday too. I was just wondering if you guys notice more sound/bass coming out of the right side speakers vs the left side? Im going to return mine tomorrow but i was just wondering if you experienced anything like that too...
