He did show them, he died and is risen again, he did show them. The bible says that even people like you, lol wait wait even people like Rob Zombie will have to fall to their knees and confess that Jesus is LORD when he comes back. I really look forward to that day but I pray that your heart changes before then.

A little deeper into John chapter 2. (first sentence). On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Fun fact: Did you know that Jewish tradition, at the time, weddings took place on the third day because it is the day of double blessings? Why would they consider the third day the day of double blessings? Creation, God did not declare anything good until the third day and on that day he blessed it twice. Genesis 1:9 More to come.. I like to dig deep into God's word.

You missed a ton of information!
I love that you are open minded about this. Most people usually scream and shout and act childish.
if you like..I would like to take the second chapter a little deeper and give you a little more insight on the wedding, the symbolic nature if the first miracle, why he did it in secret and the reason why Jesus went on a rampage in the temple ( and then again later).
What i can tell you might make you take another look at this chapter.
I'm on my lunch hour now!

he can perform miracles when he is around the people he knows, but cannot when he is faced with other people.
skepticism suggest that those miracles may be staged like a magicshow.

I pronounce "scourge" with a schwa e. Merriam-Webster says there are four different pronunciations. I sometimes post very insipid comments.

True, an extreme method even. It is his temple, however; the temple he specifically ordered built (or version 2 anyway) in order to have a place where people of all nations could come and commune with him.
If a robber broke into your house and tried to drive out your family, would you hesitate to attack the robber?
I've always seen that Jesus actually took the time to build his own whip to show the difference between "loosing your temper" and "righteous indignation." But I get your point.
In any case, I think it's telling that the Jews (meaning the rulers/officials) don't stop him or say, "What do you think you're doing?" but instead, "What sign will you show us?" They might as well have said, "What gives you the right to do our job that we should have been doing all along?"

I think it says more that the omnipotent ruler of the universe can think of no better solution than construct a whip and beat people with it.

"If a robber broke into your house and tried to drive out your family, would you hesitate to attack the robber? "
But I'm human, and god is god. If god can't do any better than me, why should I bother worshiping him?

One detail not made clear in the passage of Jesus clearing the temple is that the moneychangers and whatnot set up their tables in the outermost court, the "Gentile" court. Not only does crass commercialism defile the temple, it also prevents non-Jews from entering.
Since Jesus is God Incarnate (the opening of chap. 1), this act becomes an act of God opening his presence to non-Jews. This foreshadows the way Christianity brings YHWH to the world at large.

"this act becomes an act of God opening his presence to non-Jews."
I just have to point out that whipping and attacking a group of people is an interesting way of 'opening up' to others.
