you are correct. We are in afghanistan b/c of UNOCAL to build a natural gas pipeline. Even tony blair was quoted as saying "if it weren't for the events of 9/11, americans would not have supported the afghanistan invasion." our soldiers are dying over corporate greed. these corporations got angry when they were denied to build this pipeline years ago by the Taliban.

I think EVERY war we've been involved in is over OIL. Maybe oil pipeline and rare earth MINERALS in Afghanistan. Just out of control profit machine now. We should have listened to Eisenhauer re: military industrial complex & Carter about going green.

@sppikethis That's a good question, but what were we doing in their waters in the first place? I know I know the US is the keeper of the world so we have to go invade other people's waters in order to achieve some sort of Orwellian World piece.
