ANCHOR: Actor Richard Gere, a longtime advocate for Tibet, is urging world leaders
to acknowledge human rights abuses by China. But he also says he is not calling nations
to boycott the Beijing Olympics.
[Richard Gere, actor]:
"I do think it is important for national leaders to acknowledge
the situation and not go blindly into China and the pomp and circumstance of
the party, celebrating China, without acknowledging there are deep problems
here."
Tibet demonstrators rallied in the streets on San Francisco during the
day to protest against China's treatment of Tibet.
Protesters in London and Paris disrupted the Olympics' global torch
relay this week to protest against China's clampdown in Tibet.
San Francisco, which has a large Asian population, is the only U.S.
city to host the Olympic torch this year and authorities are bracing for a
series of additional protests.

  • An old sex machine who is talking sh-t! Does he support London riot? Of course, in his racist and biased eyes, rioters in London are evil people, but rioters in China or Russia or other non-NATO no-white nations are freedom fighters and heroes. Gere is a typical west hypocrit. No wonder he worships a slave owner in Dalai Liar.

  • remeber that the whites have never ever compensite the native americans for their evil did of genocide crime, they say they are the democratic nations with human rite, but ridiculously, the native americans are living in poeverty, they are the land owner, what the filthy white trashes, support the freedom of north america!!! white trashes compensite the native americans for your genocide crimes!!!! get out of north america, go back to where you were

  • Richard Gerbil Gere speaks out that he is also a kwok zucking kwok zucker in Hollywood. When he gets tired of stuffing his pet gerbil in his ass, he will switch to kwok zucking instead. He also claimes to have bitten off the tip of Dalai Lama's kwok.

  • For half a century the Chinese government has sought to control all aspects of Tibetan life and to promulgate policies that erode the unique culture and heritage of the Tibetan people.

The Chinese governments policy promoting Chinese migration into Tibet is only one example.

As the stresses of that migration escalate as do the stresses of cultural assimilation, unchecked development and environmental degradation that are associated with it

    USA President Barack Obama

  • From its very core beginnings, the Communist Party was bound to become an evil cult that wrought destruction on human kind. The CCP Cult was born with the determination to destroy the old world by all means. Unable to win peoples hearts, it lives in constant fear of its own demise, and its own survival is the Partys all-consuming priority.

  • Richard Gere is speaking out that he is fond of gerbils but he would prefer Da Lie Lama if he could.

  • Gere is a good and smart guy.

Free Tibet, and bring democracy to China now.

  • Free the Gerbils!

  • I'm a hundred per cent behind you Richard ! China shouldn't be allowed to hold the olympics knowing damn well what has been going on for a very long time over there.

  • Well said, i agree.
