Wolf Spider:

These are the only ones out of these four spiders that carry around egg sacs and that let their young crawl around on their back after they hatch.

European House Spider:

The rings are faint, but they're there.
Brown Recluse:

I was weed whacking and totally almost killed this sweet thing. She had her egg sack full of unhatched little spiderlings inside. They'll hatch and live on her back for up to two weeks. How's that for a loving mother in a seemingly cold hearted bloodthirsty species.

Wolf Spiders are NOT poisonous, every spider has venom but only a few of them can affect humans. People mistake them for brown recluses and hobo spiders. Hobo spiders don't live on the ground, and if there is one on the ground it's most likely a male. They live in hammock shaped funnel webs in corners. They also don't cary their eggs around in sacs like this, this is very characteristic of wolf spiders. Brown recluses have a fidle shaped design on their cephalothorax and are rather ugly, they look uglier and ganglier than wolf spiders or hobos, they're legs in particular.

And another piece of proof for you, I'm up in Idaho, recluses can't survive our winters, they're southern spiders, we don't have any recluses here, our recluses are hobo spiders. Wolf Spiders are very NONaggressive, of course if you try to pull their legs off they'll bite out of self defense.

Wolf Spiders, Hobo Spiders, European house Spiders, and Funnel Web Grass Spiders all look very much alike. If I hear someone say that they know someone who was bitten by a wolf spider and nearly lost their leg, I'll assume it was a misidentification on their part. Wolf Spiders are simply unable to cause that much harm. Also, if you're allergic, your reaction will be different, it won't be like you were bitten by a dangerous spider with necrotic venom, it'll be like you ate shellfish when you weren't supposed to. And if you are allergic to bites like these, dear god go to a doctor!

If you're bitten by a Wolf Spider, a good wash, neosporin, and a bandaid. If it gets worse over the course of a week, then common sense would send you to a doctor, but it shouldn't get to be that awful. A paper cut can get bad, it's just that you didn't take care of it. I compare Wolf Spider bites with Mosquito bites.... minus the diseases.

All any spider wants is to GET THE HELL AWAY FROM YOU, they're never there to hurt you. They think you're ugly and you smell funny, I know this, I heard it from a spider myself. O.o

I hate to say this, but your safest bet is to kill it. If you don't know what it is, you can't say whether or not it's dangerous or safe.

I really hate to say that ;-; but... yeah, that's your safest bet.

  • @psluver KILL IT WITH FIRE! D8 I've always wanted to use that... I hope that in a real situation I remember to in the chaos.

  • I'll punch u in the face for picking that up

  • @619russman Way to show that you disagree with someone's lifestyle and hobbies. XD You'll go far in life.

  • why wouldnt it bite you?

  • @rf1308 Well, I wasn't being very vigorous with it, but there was actually no way to tell that it wouldn't. You have to take into account that spiders use resources when they make their egg sacks, and also when they make venom. She may have been too tired to bite, she have feared that if she bit me I would have flung her off which may have hurt her. I may just be lucky. I've been bitten by a wolf spider before though, itchy like a mosquito.

  • @TheSmexygurl14 Auta?

  • @pZPeace I'm... guessing you mean me? But how does this make me a noob? XD And I'm definitely not fearless, throw a harmless scorpion on me and I'll flip out, you see some are harmless, but even knowing that, I still don't like scorpions... or centipedes, or solfugids. I don't know why. OH! Here's a weird one: Spider webs creep me out, maybe that's why I like jumping spiders and wolf spiders, they don't use a lot of webbing like some funnel web and orb weaving spiders.

  • Stupid noob, think your all fearless not scared of anything.

  • Wtf are you doing
