@mrJME99 I guess you would call it a trick of the trade....if you didn't know how. But now you do. Thanks for letting me know! Joe :0

Always looking for the great little "tricks of the trades" thanks.

@impleasen Your wedge tool wood piece needs to fit in the existing tongue so you don't damage the piece you already installed....then use the bar on the little wedge wood piece you just made. Joe :0

you already used your hands to pull it in place ,
and that metal piece is supposed to go right on the edge , just don't slam hard on it

@szlagjasny Most of the time you won't be able to click the flooring piece into place just by using your hands. That's why I used the black tool but make sure to cut a little block (from your scrap) & snap it on the edge of the flooring plank, before hitting the black tool. If you don't do it this way, you will dent the finished edge of your planking & we don't want that. Take your time & you can do it. Joe :0

@tomasitas2011 Sorry you didn't agree with the technique. It went together quite well doing it this way. There's not many choices you have, when connecting up a row against a wall. How would you have done it? Joe :0

Sorry, very misleading!!..I was under the impression this was regarding hardwood, not laminate.
Change the heading,Please!

@mudcatblue Sorry about the heading wording. I wasn't intentionally trying to mis-lead you. I would think though, the same type of technique would be used when working with actual hardwood flooring up against a wall....other than nailing the edge. If you nail the edge of actual hardwood flooring, make sure you get it close enough so your trim/baseboard will cover it. Do "not" nail free floating laminate floor such as this. Thanks for commenting. Hope to see you again. Joe :0
