due to the nhl playoffs, the hour is playing a combo of old interviews; the james appthurai interview is one of them. the reason the hour is a successful news show is precisely because george brings out the news that we don't see in generic news reports. so appathurai's job is to be the "Face of NATO" (not to "polish the image"); he's being honest, and he noted that all the negotiations that go on behind closed doors is always in the best interest of the Afghan people (the topic in question).

that is so true, the last comment on the video and the one beneath mine. I acctually just wrote them a comment at the hour about that. George truly is brilliant.
