PDXYAR and the Quest for a Pirate Ship

PDXYAR, the Swashbucklers of Stumptown, is a multifaceted group with strengths in swordplay, black powder demonstration, whip work, blade throwing even fire dancing. We have worked long hours to develop our stage presence in these areas and to mature our living history portrayals as unique educational resources. We have entertained and perhaps even amazed at events such as the Portland Pirate Festival, Sail for a Cure, Seattle SeaFair and many other venues.

Despite all this, PDXYAR is deficient in one area. While we hate to admit this in public... PDXYAR has no ship. What is a pirate performance and re-enactment group without a ship?

To correct this embarrassing inadequacy we have launched a fundraising campaign to attempt to raise the funds to build our own ship.
