A tone demo of my recently restored/resurrected Stratocaster which was laying around for a few years and didn´t got played on due to bad setup and worn frets.
I´ve finally restored it by changing the frets with help from folks and a re painted the fretboard with a Amber tinted clear coat nitro cellulose paint.
Neck and middle pickup are original from the Japanese factory and the read 5,63kOhm both and the original bridge pickup reads 5,63kOhm as well but it´s been replaced with a DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Blues which is a great pickup but since it´s a stacked humbucker it´s not a singlecoil so i´m gonna sale it or trade for some true singlecoils.
I´m running 3x A500kOhm potentiometers and a old CRL .02uF cap from the 1960s or 1970s not today tiny ceramic cap.
If you´re looking for a cap like that talk to "Jonesy" at http://www.jonesyblues.com/ he´s a great guy:)
My playing?
Random stuff nothing special just a shot to try and demonstrate some tones of the Stratocaster.
Thanks for watching :)
never understood why fender white pickguards always look green on white bodies, kinda reminds me of my white epi 3 pickup sg, in certain lights the whole body looks kinda green. dont get me wrong i dont mind it but i dont know whether its just my eyesight, who knows
