@KeiMontague I definitely agree with your addition. Too many good movies are getting ignored due to not being an instant classic. If people could just remember that a movie is supposed to be fun and take you away from the world for about 2 hours, I think some lesser know films would have gotten the reception they deserve.

Great review, Coleslaw. You make a lot of valid points. I can understand how you feel the only flaw was it trying to meet Dark Knight standards. I do agree, and I'll even add to it. I think people have forgotten how to enjoy movies, and instead need to be wow'd, blown away, with graphics, acting, plot, any specific field, or multiple fields.

I don't know much at all about The Green Lantern comic book character other than it's about a guy who gets a magic ring and becomes a superhero, so I guess that would put me in the mainstream category. However I will try to keep an open mind when seeing this movie.
