  • The train is the only way i can experience the magic of snowdons summit,as i cannot walk up the mountain now as my feet will not allow me to.There are many disabled people who use the train and would not be able to see how wonderful it is up there.i walked up in 1976 and it was great, but i cannot do that anymore.the cafe is also very welcome as you can sit and enjoy the views with a cuppa.I hope that anybody saying that this is a nanny assist never becomes disabled !!!

  • @TheFlyingPineapple how the fk am i a retard..do you think a retard would have the brain capacity to write a comment like mine..general retards can only manage one word at a time..oh,sorry to offend you :/ lol

  • @megabowzer100 retard

  • this stupid train spoils the whole mountain..its the reason im not really interested in climbing snowden due the fact you work so hard to see the summit only to find parents with there kids eating ice creams and a shit load of people spoiling a good photo..you can have snowden,,im climbing ben nevis in october :) no nannying assists to the top of that beast :)

  • Can't stop watching this. We went up by train last Sat.(17th) in honor of our mother. Am now suffering withdrawal symptoms. Extremely cold when at the summit, we missed views at the top, but journey up and down was mostly sunny. Will do it again. Awesome!

  • @bigwebb1987 We did the climb on Saturday and it took us just under 3hrs to reach the top (taking photos/video on the way). The weather was bloody awful and it was so cold and wet. The only thing that pissed me off about the people that came up by train, they really should have let us cold and tired walkers have a seat in the cafe. Hadn't they been seated for long enough!!!! Walking it was such an achievement though and I definitely want to do it again in better conditions.

  • @cornrowcity Engines 5, 7, and 8 have been taken out of service for quite some time so all that's left of the steam engines are 2, 3, 4, and 6. I personally like engine number 4 because it'd the engine Culdee is based off of plus I like the railway itself and I do agreee with you on the fact that the steam engines are "special attractions."

  • And my mum could never walk up it's train or nothing

  • Agreed with johncas1. I only walked down the whole way once but it was all good. However, I always like to visit two distinct attractions in one day & due to travel & time limitations the trains are better. Plus I love seeing and hearing the old coal fired steam locomotives in action. Oh, and the railway is a major local employer as its a private railway and not a preserved line - they'd never limit the people getting on the trains or reduce the timetable as they may have to lay people off.

  • (Continued) I've been up 14 times so far in my life, about equal steam & diesel, and the steam engines are by far the better machines to go up in, they really are better :)
