Wow this bring back memories, I was only 4 or 5 when this came out, but I remember hearing it all the time on radio and television here in Australia.. I'm absolutely positive that there was at least one sports TV show that used this theme, but can't remember... was it Channel 9 wide world of sports? Hmmm... I might start searching, i'm SURE i have heard this before!

goofygoat2012 regarding the "freezing cold" this was in August and as someone who lives in upstate NY an hour away from Montreal I can certify that city is very hot and humid that time of year. I think they had the chill fans blowing during rehearsal. It's a crude AC system used to cool off the stage area at outdoor concerts in hot weather.

@Goofygoat2012 the year was 1977 during rehearsal for the band's show in Montreal. It is that very show that was released as ELP's legendary live album "Emerson, Lake and Palmer In Concert" a few months later. This is the album with the Peter Gunn theme as an intro and the stadium' floodlights on the cover. The same concert was re-released full-length in the 90's as "Works Live"

I didn't write Asia, YouTube did. But if it makes them leave this video alone, it's OK by me! They've taken down quite a few I tried to upload.

It's not that - I had an old VCR that was not stereo-equipped and had to convert a video tape to digital with a video capture card. It is what it is...
