The best thing in my opinion about polyrhythms is you can make nice and smooth tempo changes instead of changing the tempo out of nowhere. Great example is from the band Between the Buried and Me. They do it all the time!

Is this technically a polyrhythm? He is accenting every 5th beat in a 4/4 groove, but the 5 grouping doesnt fit over the 4 grouping. Isnt that what a polyrhthm is? Wouldnt a 5 over 4 polyrhythm be a quintuplet played over 4 beats? Or would that actually be a polymeter?

@RaddNiner The fill is essentially a polymetric fill. The accents create a 4 over 5 polyrhythm.

Are the sheets avaliable anywhere? Just to print them out as I find it easyer to learn the beats when I brake the beats down
