Bird Sanctuary

Bird sanctuary in spring Outside Montreal Quebec
When they dug the subways in Montreal they made a long thin strip of island with all the rock along the south shore of St. Lawrence River. This part was along beside Couvée Islands Bird Sanctuary which is wider open with grass lands too.

Long and filled with bird song. if you are a crazy birder and know every single song of every bird in the background of this video.. please feel free to comment and let me know!

Those yellow warbler were so cute. Never seen such out here. I bet you have a wonderful time in this place. Time....the blue heron seem to have a lot of time:)

hey Tara, and they are so amazingly tiny.. like a golf ball! but such a strong sound I can't believe it :)

Ya the herons go seemingly without structure about their business.. always content in their stillness and so elegant and deliberate. I'm always humbled when I see them.. can't help but stop and watch! if only I could be so elegant and deliberate.. guess clumsy people like me learn that with time :)

@GoldenFinchFellow hmm..I am sure if the Heron were to resonate..it would see you for who you are ...as a human watching it. Often the 'clumsiness' go unnoticed until it is pointed out.

You are elegant just the way you are Josh..don't forget that. We human crave so much of ourselves that we fail to appreciate ...who we truly are.

Wild flowers, cloud formations, stars and bird songs are all things I wish I knew more about. So far I have only covered wild flowers....but am working on getting to know the others. Thanks for this. I guess the birds are happy and not too bothered by the ambient background sounds!

this video reminds me of all the stuff i need to do for my birds. 1. add new seed, 2, add more water for their baths, 3 clean water fountain, coz they liek the moving water and sound, 4 get new bird feeder, coz after 10 yrs one broke, still have one left however that is used. have 3 birdbaths, 2 big feeders, 2 water fountains, and i keep my yard nice and green, coz they like that. also i have 4 bird houses. plus 2 little houses for the very small finches..so yes, i would say i am a birder.

man there were soo many Yellow warblers! all of them I would zoom in to the perfect shot in the trees and poof gone... This one kept coming out on the bike path wire and didn't mind people. I think He was the town-crier or something and that big poplar tree was town hall :D here ye here ye, life is sweet sweet very very sweet! or maybe he was drunk on honey suckle.
