Second outing of my surprise birthday present of an ACME Condor 1:10 scale nitro powered RC car. Before running in the engine and going 'bashing' I trawled youtube to find out more, I have read mixed reviews about this car but I think some people go like a bull in a china shop and get it all wrong and blame the car, personally I have found it to be very good so far, and I did read to strip down and re-build the car so you know exactly what is what and to thread lock metal on metal screws securely. I did tighten all visible screws and thread lock the engine mounts as many tutorials suggest. But on my first real bashing 3rd & 4th tank slow circuits and mid speed runs with breaking I lost front wheel drive - on examination it looks like the universal joint from the front diff has come off throwing the front drive shaft somewhere. On this trip my son did find the drive shaft where we where running the day before but the universal joint eluded us. I am assuming the grub screw came loose (metal on metal) and resulted in the problem - There are 6 of these on the diffs + the main drive shaft another 2 so will be sorting this out asap.

Still need to fine tune the engine with regards to the HSN & LSN but I have found this to be a great introduction into the hobby - But I would say if you don't have patients and jump in feet first no nitro car will be suitable no matter how much you spend.

  • there a bag of shit dont bother , cheaply made , shit off road , save your money for an extra 60 quid buy a hpi 4.6 trophy truggy .

  • @spanishmaraca: You need to get some facts right first buddy, I paid £110 new, you won't get a HPI Trophy for £60 more new for that, yes it is cheap, but if you wan't a good first 1/8th buggy buy a Hyper 7! similar money to a trophy and from what I have read a much better buggy! - These condors are good at introducing anybody interested in the hobby with limited budgets.

  • ...sorry, should have read, good luck with your purchase, I would advise looking through the running in vids and team infinity engine set-up posts by aliashmao, think that's right? They are very useful before you start and when running.

  • @olly1243 It says on the box 40mph, and I have no doubts that this is possible. Good luck with your pitch

  • The condor isn't shit and don't talk to the guy operating the car again . U fucked up rabbit with no ears

  • @Pilot74sparki You talk shit , Buying a condor on a limited buget you will spend 5 times the original cost , over a couple of months buying spares as the fucking things keep breaking , hit a small twig and and youve got a broken cv , simple as , Ive fixed about 6 of these so called value for money trucks over the past 2 month ,

Also dont talk to me about facts Ive been building and racing petrol/nitro models for over 15 years , so I should think i know what im talking about.

    you fuck wit

  • I built one exactly like this, but it refuses to start after four times of running.. very mysterious.. or not?

  • Very well said vid description mate. i also have a condor and while the engine may be a pain in the arse, at least we'll be masters of any nitro after it.

  • Hi, great fun, I've got the bugcrusher with same engine team infinity.18. I havent quite got mine set right yet. Patience needed and would recommend wathching jthornley12 as he shows ways to set the hsp models. I have an old landcross has sh.18 in it from nitrotek and have had no problems with spares
