On 'Sun/Sol,' the Berklee schoolmates' first album together, tenor man Blake and drummer Miralta also gave a featured credit to master bassist Avishai Cohen. This is the only tune from the album that wasn't written by one of them, the lovely, little-heard Newley-Bricusse ballad from 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.' Slow like dripping honey, woozy and sparkling like late-night champagne, this is a real winner that'll make you hear the song in a whole different way. And notice--no piano. Just sax, bass, and drums. Three masters at work.
Wow!!!! Very, very beautiful!!!
