  • fantastic vide, I had to sit through many on here prior to learning how to do this right through you instruction! Just one question, I did all the steps and now have the "Al gore" on top of the 2nd picture but can't move it or re-size, I try to put a box around to drag the corners but it wouldn't let me do that. Please advise, thanks so much!

  • @LilyNy111 When you paste the selection on top of another image, you then choose the move tool, and make sure 'show bounding box' is checked in the menu below the top tool bar and above the image. When show bounding box is enabled, you'll be able to move and resize the pasted image.

  • I have adobe photoshop cs5.1 but i cant find the magic extractor

  • @mrDJstoon The Magic Extractor tool is in PhotoShop Elements. In Photoshop CS, it is found under 'filters', and is called the 'extract filter'

  • great but the cut is crude is there something you can use to make it more perfect?

  • @pamperedpotato You could make it more perfect by spending just a bit more time working with the magic extractor tool than I did in this short video

  • Excellent video, clear concise and to the point.

  • GREAT VIDEO! I've watched many other videos on how to cut out objects & they weren't as helpful as this video. Thanks for posting it!

  • Oh thank GOD!! I've been struggling with this! THANK YOU!!! Now my tin can is floating in outer space!

  • great information, thank you

  • You can also extract an image by using the quick selection tool and then copying and pasting it to where you want it..... i find the quick selection tool is alot easier , faster and makes more clean lines than the magic extractor tool..
