Does the laser dot have loads of scatters of light around it because I had a cheap dx laser that does and for this price they shouldnt do the same?

You shouldn't hold the matches too close to your laser when you light it because when the match ignites it "sprays" out crap which makes your lens dirty.

i think you can't hold longer then 60 seconds (dw you get instructions with it). Then you let it cool down (about 30 seconds)
