Tho i will say I'm 5'8 and almost 180 and my diets fairly poor, actually quiet pathetic. I'm most likely over weight but =] I do like meat over veggies, hopefully i dont get scolded by a vegan for that -_-

@JuliaJitterbug dont worry about it!in 5' 9" at the moment and weigh 170. i used to be WAAAAY thinner. then i started the egg donor program and gained weight, i gained 60 LBS from it. i stopped and the weight began to fall off. now i do run, etc, so i am a bit muscle-y hence the extra meatiness... i LOVE fruits, greens, veggies, etc as well as meat, eggs, etc. i dont really do too much dairy though- soy milk and lactaid for me!

Read The China Study...what does "limited" amount of meat mean? The study you quote says to focus on plant oils, seed and nuts, fruits and veg. Stick to that. Meat protein causes cancer and heart disease. Read up on the facts.

i have read it, thanks. drinking from plastic bottles and eating tofu also causes cancer. facts are facts- if you eat approproate amounts of meat, veggies, wine, etc you arent going to get cancer. facts, unbiased facts, are that if you eat gross amounts of red/processed meats you will get sick/cancer- many of the studies that you/others quote include processed meats with meat- mcdonalds burger is bad, lean red meat is not in moderation. limited- 2 to 3 times a week or less.
